Other Sheep Have I

It is apparent that Jesus taught many things and had many sayings that did not make it into our modern bible. Origen quoted some of these lost sayings of Jesus and argued that the world must be round, because the Lord had a covenant people who lived on the other side. (1) Some of the earliest texts of Mark include a variant not found in our modern bibles. According to M. R. James, Mark 16:3 should read "In the third hour of the day, there came darkness throughout all the globe of the earth, and angels came down from the heavens..." (2) It is quite possible, and even likely, that Jesus taught that the world is round, and that he had other sheep on the other side.
